  • How to reset the toner low scam on Brother DCP-2530dw?

Hi I bought the Brother DCP-2530DW from you, and after a wait I bought a new toner from you too. The machine is saying toner low, which at times blocks printing - yet there is still toner and the print quality is good - so I want to reset the counter on the existing toner. I tried using instructions off youtube, and Goggle, wiki, etc, but none work for this printer. I open the door, it says close the door, I press cancel/clear, nothing. Ive tried a load of other instructions but no - HELP!

    • This is something that can be resolved, we do recommend when first changing the initial toner that came with the printer to perform a hard reset first. If you contact our Customer Service team with your information we can talk you through the process and try and get you back up and running.

  • What does the term "Hard reset" mean

New to lazer printer. Not yet used up initial delivery with DCP L2530DW.

    • If you are having trouble getting your cartridge to read properly or are having connectivity issues with your printer, sometimes a hard reset will resolve the problem. Power down the printer and then unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall.
